Preparing myself for my first day back dancing, I came up with a little course after reading about selling and translating it into exotic dancing vs. selling printers or gym memberships. The Clean Sales Steps:
- Sales Introduction
- Sales Questions
- Sales Presentation
- Close the Sale
- Handling Sales Objectives
The 5 Sales Steps for Exotic Dancers:
- Introduce yourself
- Open-ended questions
- Verbal presentation of what you offer and what’s to come
- Close the Sale
- Handling Rejections and Denials
THE BREAKDOWNStage #1: IntroductionThe way you introduce yourself and engage the potential customer should grab his/her attention right away and keep him/her interested in you long enough to close the sale and then some!5 Elements of a Successful Intro:
- This is important. ASK the customer if you can join him first! You don’t know if another dancer was sitting there and will be back, or maybe he simply doesn’t want that kind of company! Some men solely come for the stage dances, the beer and the sports games.
- Ask and remember the clients name! It is important to memorize and utilize the clients name throughout the intro and the rest of the process. It makes me more personable and gives him more reason to feel comfortable with you.
- Clearly introduce yourself to the client. Make sure he hears it and make sure that he remembers it. It’s important to build that rapport especially if he is a local and has a chance to come back.
- Thank the customer for letting you join him and point out the reason you wanted to sit with him. Flattery goes a long way but be genuine. Men smell fakes a mile away!
- Make physical contact. Don’t be slutty. Be flirty.
Stage #2: Open-Ended QuestionsAsk the customer open-ended questions to keep him talking, build rapport, and learn what makes him or her tick.Things to remember:
- This should be an enticing conversation where your client is the only thing in your world and they are all that matters to you. Do not make it an interrogation. Remember, you want him talking 75% of the time.
- Pay close attention to detail in what your client is saying. Key points that you want to remember or emphasize about them, question about them and get the customer talking specifically about that. You want him to be comfortable with you but also turned on.
- Don’t ask random questions like, “How is the weather,” and then “do you have siblings?” Stay on subject!
- Avoid silence. Keep. Him. Talking.
Stage #3: Verbal DemoPresent to the customer what you can do and want to do to him, orally not physically. Remember to act like a lady in public, save the dirty for the private rooms. Make that known, it will make you more desirable to take into a VIP room or for a lap dance.Keys to Remember:
- Be straight to the point in a sexy way. Don’t say, “I will pounce my big ass on your dick until you cum!” Do say, “I would love to rub my ample booty against you to keep you nice and toasty!”
- Don’t act slutty. You are a dancer, not an escort.
- Do a trial close to see if he is biting. i.e. Did you get to watch me on stage? How did it make you feel? *touch the clients chest with your finger playfully* I would love to blow your mind..or maybe your pants in private to the beat of the songs…. or I totally want to molest you with your clothes on! Lets go private and make it happen!
Stage #4: Close the Sale, Get the Dance!Exotic dancers make most of their money doing private lap dances. Most clubs charge $20 to $30 a dance depending on the type of club and location. So let’s do the math…. 5 hour shifts…60 minutes in an hour..Realistically you can do a lap-dance every 15 minutes which leaves us with 4 lap-dance an hour. 4 times 5 is 20. 20 Dances a night. 20 times 20 is $400 solely from lap dances. Times that by 4 days and you are earning $1600 a week in cash and over $6000 a month working 25 hours. Averaging out $250 an hour. Close that sale, honey!Closing Techniques:
- Just ask!
- Ask all the way to yes! (Ask questions back to back that will get the customer to say yes a few times in a row and then ask for a dance.)
- Assumptive Close: Are you ready for your first dance?
- Companion Close: Works only if the customer came with friends. Ask his buddy to get him a dance.
- Courtship Close: Our conversation is so wonderful and you are so interesting and sexy to me, I would hate for our time to end any time soon! Even the sound of your voice makes me wanna go wild, how about a dance?
- Compliment Close: compliment into submission! Be genuine!
- Demo Close: Grind your ass on him, “Let’s take this private.”
- Emotion Close: This doesn’t always apply. Self explanatory. Use with caution girls!
Stage #5: Handling Rejections
- Don’t take it personal. Never take it personal. Brush it off girl!
- Keep your smile the entire time. Nothing phases you.
- Don’t make it awkward! Just keep chatting with him as if your failed attempt at closing the sale never happened!
- Observe to see if he might bite later.
- Make a graceful exit but make yourself memorable for future sales!
I hope this helped out. If you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment and I will reply asap!
